This is a Sichusn Takin ( Budorcas taxicolor tibetana). Takin inhabit the same dense bamboo forests as the better-known giant panda. Habitat loss and over hunting has led to their decline in the wild. Scientists from the Wilds have been working in China to help track these animals so we can better understand the biology of this species.
